What is Copdate?
Copdate places the latest hyped releases in the palm of your hand so you can skip the line and cop the hottest drops, hassle-free.
How does it work?
In RSVP releases, retailers send you time-sensitive announcements about upcoming product launches via push notifications and/or postings inside the App. Once you receive the notification, you will have the opportunity to attempt a reservation (i.e. to ‘Cop’) or to dismiss the notification (i.e. to ‘Drop’).
Successful users will receive a confirmed reservation and purchase instructions from the retailer. Use your Copdate Reservation on release day to pick up and purchase your product hassle-free!
Holding raffles for hyped releases is standard practice these days… however, entering and managing them can be a major headache… Copdate simplifies the process, making it seamless, fair, and hassle-free from start to finish.
Similarly to RSVPs, retailers can send you push notifications once they open a List. Users that wish to enter the raffle can do so simply by responding via the Copdate app on their device.
Copdate sends your entry directly to the shop along with the relevant info required to redeem the product if you win; such as your name, entry # size, and your contact info… all this in a matter of a couple taps on your device!
Winners will then be contacted with instructions on how to purchase their product on release day. No hassle, no headaches!
As with Copdate RSVP, Copdate acts solely as an intermediary and does not handle the purchase transactions on behalf of the retailer. Any product reserved via Copdate must be picked up and purchased directly from the retailer as instructed.
Does Copdate guarantee me a reservation each time I use the app?
No. As with most ‘hyped’ releases, demand is very high, and quantities are very limited. The ability to make reservations with Copdate is time-sensitive and subject to the retailers’ stock availability at the time of the attempted reservation.
In RSVP events, reservations are allocated a ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis based on availability. In Lists, reservations are allocated by random selection from eligible entries at the end of the event.
Copdate gives you the best opportunity to cop as easily and as fairly as possible, provided you are quick enough once you receive the notification, however Copdate cannot guarantee the availability of any product at the time a reservation is attempted
What are the steps to making a reservation?
- Create your Copdate account and subscribe to your favorite shop
- You will be notified when reservations are available at your selected shops, and you will have the option to ‘Cop’ or ‘Drop’. If you would like to cop, remember to act quickly as demand is high, quantities are limited, and reservations are subject to availability at the time of the attempted reservation*.
- If your attempt is successful, you will have a Pending reservation that you can confirm to secure your product for a hassle-free purchase on release day.
- Confirm your Pending reservation to receive Copdate Reservation # and instructions from the retailer containing launch day procedures explaining how to purchase your product on release day.
- Bring your Copdate Reservation # and valid ID to the shop on release day to pick up and purchase your pair hassle-free!**

Is Copdate responsible for the retail transaction?
No – Copdate is strictly a reservation service and does not handle the purchase transactions for products reserved using the app and is not responsible for the fulfillment of reservations by the participating retailer.
All products reserved using Copdate must be purchased from the retailer and paid in store on release day as instructed in the rules set by the shop for each event.
You will not be charged for the reserved product in the app.

What is a “Confirmed Reservation”?
In some cases, winners may be required to confirm pending reservations before being eligible to purchase certain products.
The confirmation step helps ensure that highly sought-after and limited products are being reserved only for customers that have confirmed their intention to pick up and purchase on release day.
When applicable, users must accept the terms & conditions of the release and validate their payment information prior to receiving their reservation.
Users that complete the confirmation process, will receive a Copdate Reservation #, securing their product for hassle-free purchase on release day.
Users that do not complete the confirmation process, will forfeit their reservation, making it available to others, and giving someone else the opportunity to cop a product they really want.
How do I confirm a reservation?
If your RSVP attempt is successful, or if your List entry has been selected, your reservation will be “PENDING” and you will have a certain amount of time to complete the confirmation process to secure your product for hassle-free purchase in-store.
Follow these steps to confirm your Pending Reservation:
- Carefully review product, price, fees & purchase details.
- If you agree, tap “OK CONFIRM” within the time allotted.
- Submit the required information and accept. A valid credit card is required. *
- Once successfully processed, your reservation is CONFIRMED and will appear in MY COPS.
- Use your Confirmed Reservation to purchase hassle-free in-store on release day.
* you will not be charged for the reserved product in the app.
Copdate does not handle the purchase transaction and you will NOT be charged for the product in the app. All products reserved using Copdate are purchased from the retailer and must be paid for in-store on release day.
What is the Reservation Fee?
A nominal Processing / Reservation Fee may be applied to confirm a Pending reservation. The Fee is charged as a final validation step only to users that have agreed to proceed with the confirmation of their reservation.
In order to secure their product winners will be required to CONFIRM THEIR RESERVATION by validating their payment information and authorizing a nominal charge in the app.
Winners that complete the confirmation step and successfully authorize the charge, will have certified their intention to pick up their reserved product from the retailer on release day.
This will help ensure that reservations are given only to winners that intend to pickup on release day, and that all reserved pairs end up in the hands of people that truly want them!
Winners that do not confirm or do not wish to authorize the charge, can simply cancel their pending reservation (i.e. “Drop”) at no cost and give other users the opportunity to cop hassle-free!
When applicable, the Fee must be paid prior to receiving your reservation and securing your product for purchase on release day.
Why do you apply a Reservation Fee?
Due to high demand and the limited availability of products released via Copdate, retailers need to ensure that successful users honor their reservation on release day.
By completing the confirmation step and paying the Fee, you are certifying your intention to pick up your reserved product from the retailer on release day. This guarantees that each product reserved via Copdate ends up in the hands of someone who really wants it.
Users that do not wish to pay the Fee can cancel their pending reservation (i.e. “Drop”) at no cost and give someone else the opportunity to cop hassle-free!
When is the fee applied?
The Fee is applied only if your reservation attempt is successful and you complete the confirmation process. If your attempted reservation is unavailable, unsuccessful, or if you decide to “DROP”, the Fee will not be charged.
How much is the Fee?
The Fee can vary from one release to the next, but will not exceed 2.5% of the manufacturer's suggested retail price. The amount will be clearly indicated in the app prior to the confirmation step
Who charges the Reservation Fee?
When applicable, the Fee is charged by Copdate and will appear on your credit card statement as Copdate Inc.
If I don’t pay the Fee, do I still get my reservation?
If a particular event requires that pending reservations be confirmed, and you do not complete the confirmation process (including payment of the Fee), or if you decide to “DROP”, the Fee will not be charged, and your reservation will be cancelled.
If I confirm my reservation and change my mind later, is the Fee refundable?
No – once the Fee is paid to confirm your reservation, it is not refundable.
Confirmed reservations are binding. Once a reservation is confirmed in the app, the retailer is automatically advised that you have agreed to purchase the product as per the terms and conditions of the release. Once a reservation is confirmed, the product is no longer available for other customers to reserve and/or purchase.
Users that do not wish to pay the Fee can simply cancel their pending reservation (i.e. “Drop”) at no cost and give someone else the opportunity to cop hassle-free!
This guarantees that each product reserved via Copdate ends up in the hands of someone who really wants it.
My reservation Timed Out. What does this mean?
If your RSVP reservation is successful or if your List entry has been selected, you will have to confirm your reservation within the time allotted. This is to provide a fair opportunity to other users that are still waiting in line for a chance to reserve.
If your reservation is not confirmed within the time allotted ("Timed Out"), it will be cancelled at no cost to you, and be made available to other users waiting in line.
Do I need to provide my credit card to access releases in the app?
No – your credit card information is not required in advance to access releases in the app. However, a credit card may be required to confirm a successful or pending reservation.
You will not be charged for the reserved product in the app.
I was able to confirm my reservation, where do I purchase my product?
Once you have received your reservation confirmation, it will appear in MY COPS and contain detailed information provided by the retailer about launch-day procedures.
In most cases, you will be asked to present yourself at the specified location by a certain time on release day with your Copdate reservation confirmation and a valid photo ID.
Please make sure to consult the rules provided by the retailer beforehand to ensure that things go smoothly on release-day. Retailers may cancel reservations at their discretion if launch-day procedures are not followed.
Do I purchase the reserved product from Copdate?
No. You do not purchase the reserved product in the app.
All products reserved using Copdate must be purchased directly from the retailer on release day as per the rules set by the shop for each release.
You will not be charged for the reserved product in the app.
How long will I have to pick up my reservation?
Each retailer establishes its own rules for individual releases, so we encourage you to consult them in detail before release day to ensure things go smoothly.
If you are unable to pick up your product at the time specified by the shop, your reservation may be canceled. Please make sure to read all the rules closely as retailers may cancel reservations at their discretion if launch-day procedures are not followed.
What happens if I cannot pick up my reservation?... Can someone else do it?
Each retailer establishes its own rules and may have different policies regarding pickups for individual releases, so you are encouraged to consult the rules in detail before release-day to ensure things go smoothly.
In most cases, reservations are not transferable, and you will be required to provide a valid photo ID matching your reservation to be able to purchase your product. Please make sure to read all the rules closely as retailers may cancel reservations at their discretion if launch-day procedures are not followed.
The shop didn’t have my product or didn’t honor my reservation. What do I do?
1. Did you have a confirmed reservation for the specified product?
2. Did you show a valid ID matching the reservation?
3. Did you follow all the rules and show up on time at the correct location on the specified release-day?

Please remember that Copdate does not handle the purchase transactions for products reserved using the app and is not responsible for the fulfillment by the participating retailer.
Why do I need to register?
To have a chance at making reservations using Copdate, you will have to sign up and create an account.
Successful reservations made using the app will be sent to the participating retailer so that you can purchase your product hassle-free on release day.
Setting up your account accurately is important since most retailers will require a valid photo ID matching your reservation to process the purchase transaction.
Can I reserve the same product from different stores?
Yes. You can subscribe to as many shops as you like to receive their notifications. You will have the opportunity to make reservations from any of your subscribed shops if the event is accessible in your area.
Please note that this does not mean that you can reserve multiple products from the same retailer. Most shops will limit reservations of each release to one per customer. However, if different shops are releasing the same product, you will be able to attempt a reservation from each individual shop (while quantities last).
Please make sure to carefully read and follow the rules provided by the retailer. Reservations may be cancelled at the retailer’s discretion if the rules for the event are not followed.
Can I have multiple accounts to increase my chances of getting a reservation?
No, you can only have one account active on one device at a time.
Most retailers will require a valid ID matching the reservation information in order to process the purchase transaction. Attempting to use multiple accounts or impersonating another person may result in any reservations being cancelled and the associated accounts temporarily or permanently closed.
Do I need to enable location services?
Yes – Location services should be enabled for Copdate in your device settings to optimize the performance of the App and to allow you to access “Locals-Only” and other geo-fenced events.
Why does it matter where I am located?
Some releases are for “Locals-Only” and are accessible only to users that are physically located inside a specified “Cop Zone”. Your location is required to determine whether you can access these types of releases.
Do I need to enable push notifications?
Yes, we recommend enabling push notifications for Copdate on your device.
As with any major release, demand is very high, quantities are very limited, and shops use Copdate to send you time-sensitive announcements about upcoming reservations via push notification.
Making reservations using Copdate can require your quick action once the announcement is made, so enabling push notifications on your device gives you the best chance at receiving the announcements in a timely manner.
Although you can still access launch information in the app without push notifications, enabling them will give you access to the launch announcements in real time, allowing you to respond faster and improving your chances of copping.
Do I need use a specific version of the app?
Yes. Please ensure that you have the latest version of Copdate installed on your device. You can confirm this by visiting the App Store or Google Play to check if an update is available.
